Meet the Yorkie of your dreams...
at NC Yorkie Rescue!

In order to adopt one of our rescues, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located on the Home Page under the "Online Forms" tab. This form gathers information about your expectations of pet ownership and helps us determine which of our wonderful Yorkies might best suit your lifestyle.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit group dedicated to helping and finding "Forever Homes" for every Yorkie!

Every time you adopt a pet from NC Yorkie Rescue, Inc., you enable us to save the life of another orphaned or surrendered Yorkie in need...finding a great companion has never been easier!

Our adoption fees are based on the age and size of each yorkie. Yorkies can be a "high maintenance" pet, so please keep in mind you may spend anywhere between $500 to $1,500 per year to keep your pup in tip top shape before you consider adopting.  Yorkies can easily live over fifteen years, remember that as well since this will be a lifetime commitment.

Thank you for your desire to adopt a rescued Yorkie, and please remember to always spay and neuter your pets!

Help us to serve our little friends by making a donation. Click on the "Donations" tab.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Yorkshire Terrier (Yorkie)

Young (Male)  (Fostered in Angier, NC)

My name is Lee, I am five years old and am being fostered in Angier, NC. My foster parents say that I am a favorite around here. They tell me that I'm a catch. Speaking of catch, would you throw my tennis balls to me? I could fetch for hours. Even though I brought my brother along with me, I'm not opposed to being an only child. Sometimes I demand all the attention for myself. Who could blame me?  Look how cute I am. I like to play hard and then hang out by myself awhile. My brother and I love sleeping with our mom. I am house trained. I like taking several short walks during the day also. If you have the time for me, then I have plenty of kisses for you. My parents have really enjoyed my stay, but I'm ready to meet my forever family.  I may be a bit shy initially, but once I settle in, I am with you forever!  I have been  neutered, am up to date on all of my shots and also micro-chipped. Adoption fee/donation fee apply. In order to adopt one of our rescues, you must first fill out an Adoption Application located on the Home Page under the "Online Forms" tab.

Yorkshire Terrier
Adult Female

Flower is a wonderful female yorkie, approximately five years old weighing eight pounds.  She has a wonderful temperament and personality.  She is so sweet and sincere and has put up with a great deal before coming into rescue.  It is believed Flower came from a puppy-mill, where she was basically ignored.  She developed a horrible infection in both ears that was left untreated.  As a result, she was left with an ear that resembles a cauliflower.   The constant pain and itching in the ears makes the the dog shake their head.  The flapping of the ear causes blood vessels to break and the ear flap fills with blood pulling apart the outer three layers of the ear.   After months of dedicated therapy by her foster mom, Flower has greatly improved!  She had to endure painful treatment in the beginning, and not once complained.  She has been a real little trouper and deserves a wonderful home and family!  She is loyal and loving!  House-trained, up to date on her shots and a recent dental.  Adoption/Donation Fee apply.  In order to adopt one of our yorkies, you must first fill out an Adoption Application under the online Forms tab.  Flower is fostered in Salisbury, NC
